Mine Advisory Group (MAG) charity departs from St Pancras International for epic bike ride

On Friday 6 June 30 cyclists left St Pancras International on the first leg of their charity cycle.

On Friday 6 June 30 cyclists left St Pancras International on the first leg of their charity cycle.  The challenge was to cycle the 300 miles from London to Amsterdam to Brussels in 3 days to raise funds for MAG's landmine clearance work in conflict affected countries across the world.  The triumphant cyclists retuned to St Pancras International on Eurostar from Brussels on Monday 9 June and have so far raised £25,000, with money still coming in.

Fashion designer Jeff Banks was among the group, and before setting off on the challenge he stated his reasons for taking part:  "I think one of the worst possible things for a child in an area is not being allowed to play, and in so many parts of the planet now, this is what warfare has done for kids. MAG can eradicate the problem now."
