A comprehensive training and development programme is provided covering the following:

Technical knowledge and skills, including

  • Station operational procedures
  • Health & safety
  • Emergency plans
  • Security awareness
  • Accident & incident reporting
  • Use of radio communications
  • Disability awareness
  • Customer information systems
  • CCTV monitoring
  • Crowd control measures
  • In addition, it is required that all recruits into Customer Service positions pass the full Railway Safety Accreditaion Scheme training programme (further details will be provided at the assessment centre stage.)
